  Notes	(Medical):Obituary for William Colston - Federal Standard 26 February 1904 The death occurred at Beechworth Hospital on February 10 of Mr William Colston, the cause being blood poisoning. Some time ago he got hurt on the leg, and an abscess formed, and he had to go to the hospital. The growth was so close to the vein that the doctors would not operate for its removal. In the ordinary course it burst and later on another abscess formed at the back of his throat. On the Wednesday morning referred to, the deceased stated that he had passed a good night and asked for a drink of water. Five minutes after taking it he died. His remains were interred at Beechworth. Deceased who was a native of Allan's Flat and brother of Mr J Colston of Dry Creek, was for some time a resident of Chiltern and was a prominent member of the Rifle Club.
