History



New Mahlisch is a foundation of Frederick's land expansion and made around 1775 by the settlement of 30 families. The name is derived from the nearby Old Mahlisch, today a district of Fichtenhöhe.



Before the invasion of the Red Army, the local population was completely evacuated early 1945. During the Battle of the Seelow Heights most of the buildings were destroyed.



After the war, the infrastructure of the town : 1952 New Mahlisch received street lighting, 1953, a drinking water system, since 1971, there is a bus service to Seelow.
