	OBITUARY Mrs. Elizabeth Pickering The death of Mrs. Elizabeth Martha Pickering, relict of the late Sgt. Jonothan Pickering I.S.O., occurred at Pomona on Thursday morning in her 85th year. Since the death of her husband eight years ago, the widely respected lady had resided in her own home at Pomona and she will be remembered by many of the earlier settlers of Maryborough, Nanango, Kilkivan, Tiaro, and Tewantin, where she had shared her late husband's work and where she was well known for her many acts of kindness both to white settlers and aboriginals. She was quite an authority on aboriginal customs, and had a great fund of interesting reminiscences. The late Mrs. Pickering is survived by five daughters, Mesdames M. Campbell (Pomona), R. Lister (Brisbane), J. H. Steer (the Rectory. Gympie), J. H. Page (Bundaberg), and E.
