JACK O'KEEFFE.
Mr. J. V. O'Keeffe, of the teaching staff of the South Grafton Public School, has received word of the death of his brother, Jack, which took place in Newcastle on Thursday. Jack, one of a family of five teachers, was born at Ramornie Works, where he began his career as a pupil teacher, 50 years ago, under the late Mr. David Bowling. He taught in many centres on the Clarence River, and as a young man was a competent athlete. He retired from the service six or seven years ago, and was living in Newcastle.
