      MR. C. R. RAABE
      MT. FORBES, Mar. 10. - Mr. Charles Robert Raabe, a well-known and respected resident of Mt. Forbes, passed away recently in the Ipswich Hospital, after an illness of several months, at the age of 61 years. He was born at Minden in 1888, where he lived with his parents. He married Miss Elizabeth Ballard, of Gatton, in 1909, when he took up farming and contracting at Fordsdale. He disposed of his property at Fordsdale 14 years ago, and took up farming at Mt. Forbes, where he lived until the time of his death. He was a keen lover of sport, and was an active member of the local tennis club for many years. He was also deputy chairman of the local branch of the Q.D.O. and a member of the Mt. Forbes Entertainment Committee. He is survived by his mother, who is in her 85th year, also his wife and large family. The daughters are Mesdames C. Leisch (Gatton), R. Dawson (Gatton), A. Leismann (Maroon), P. Windolf (Kalbar). L. Wilson (Southport), R. Borchert (Ipswich), also Misses Pearl Raabe (Esk), Audrey (Gatton), and Doreen (Mt. Forbes). Master Desmond Raabe (Mt. Forbes) is a son. The funeral to the Ipswich Cemetery was largely attended.
