      Olive - The relatives and friends of the late Mr. Frederick George Olive, of Rappville, are asked to attend his funeral, to take place at the Camira Cemetery TOMORROW (SATURDAY) at 11 a.m. Trevor D Bevan, Funeral Directors, Casino.

    • OBITUARY
      F. G. OLIVE.
      The death occurred suddenly on October 27, at the Memorial Hospital, Casino, of Frederick George Olive, at the age of 75 years. He was a son of the late Charles Langlo Olive, who was one of the pioneers of the Clarence River. He lived all his life on the Northern Rivers.

      Mr. Olive is survived by his four sons and four daughters. One son died at birth. The daughters are Greta Mabel (Mrs. J. Sexton, Sydney; Aileen Alice (Mrs. H. Armstrong, Grafton); Juanita Jean (Mrs. J. Clissold, Newcastle); Jeanette Mavis Lillian (Mrs. H. Devlin, Sydney). The sons are Lyn Osborn Charles, of Tamworth; Carlyle Frederick William, Sydney; Wallace Eric James, Sydney: Bruce Stanley Malcolm, Sydney.

      Three sisters and four brothers are also living.

      The sisters are Mrs. A. Davidson, Lismore; Mrs. J. O'Keefe, Sydney; Mrs. Dockrill, Clovass, Casino. The brothers are Donald, Olive, Clearfield; Jack Olive, Clearfield; Malcolm Olive, Clearfield; Dudley Olive, Clearfield.

      Twenty-one grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive. Mrs. Olive predeceased her husband 17 years ago.

      At 25 years of age Mr. Olive married Lillian Beatrice Ives, of Sydney, and took up residence on the Lawrence road at the Travellers' Rest Hotel, which was later burnt down. He then took up farming at Bexhill, and after a few years took up a selection at Camira Creek and went in for cattle. He then took his family to Tuncester, near Lismore, but later returned to Camira Creek, where he resided until his wife died. He then went to Rappville where he lived until his death.

      He was a very active man, taking part in all the activities of the district. The funeral took place from Casino to the Camira Creek cemetery where he was buried beside his mother and father.

      Mr. Frederick George Olive, of Rappville, died in Kyogle Memorial Hospital at the age of 74 years.

      Apart from living at Bexhill and Tuncester for a time, he had been on the land at Myrtle Creek all his life. Since his retirement he had lived at Rappville.

      He was married in Grafton to Miss Lillian Ives nearly 50 years ago, and his wife predeceased him 17 years ago.

      Family surviving are: Mrs. H. Devlin, Normanhurst; Mrs. J. Sexton, Kensington; Mrs. A. Armstrong, Grafton, and Mrs. J. Clissold, Merewether, and four sons, Lynn, Tamworth; Carl, Coogee; Wallace, Castle Hill, and Bruce, Ryde.

      Sisters are, Mrs. J. O'Keefe, Sydney; Mrs. J. Dockrill, Clovass and Mrs. A. Davidson, Lismore. There are four brothers.

      The remains were conveyed to Camira cemetery for burial. Pall bearers were Lynn, Carlyle, Wallace and Bruce (sons), Ron and Bill Fox.

      Funeral arrangements were conducted by Trevor D. Sevan.
