    Notes
    • Heinrich was called Harry. His father died when he was five years old, so he would have been reared by his stepfather William Riches.
The family lived in the Fassifern area and Harry is named as a pioneer farmer of the Moogerah area in the early days of subdivision (1900s).
He and other settlers were instrumental in getting a school for Moogerah. Harry was secretary of the school committee. His postal address was Charlwood, where his second cousin Theodor Wenck was a teacher. This was the closest school and was five miles by the nearest road. A provisional school was opened at Moogerah in August 1908. The parents having supplied land, a building and board for the teacher.
Harry must have been successful, because he owned the third car to come to the area, a 1916 Talbot
The name Moogerah is a puzzle. In local aboriginal dialect it means thunder. The postal service in 1881 used the name Tineravelah Receiving Office and the name in the postal directory in 1900 is Moogerah Creek.
