      WORRY OVER HEALTH.

      Woman's Death at Nedlands Park

Worry over her health was blamed for the death of Margaret Potter (46), married woman, on December 11, when the Coroner (Mr. T. Y. A. Lang) conducted an inquest today. Her husband, Walter Kemp Potter, who keeps a shop in Broadway, Nedlands Park, was talking to his wife, he said, about 10 minutes before he found her dead, hanging by a rope from a rafter in a shed at the rear of the shop. She had been worried, he stated, over her health, although she had not received medical attention for ten years. On that occasion she had had an operation and she had mentioned recently that she thought the trouble was recurring and that she would not go through another operation. Pinned to her dress when witness found her, was a scrap of paper on which she had written : -- "I want to die." The Coroner found that she came by her death by asphyxia, by her own act, whilst in a depressed state of mind, caused by ill-health.

      Wedding Bells

      POTTER - REAL.

At St. John's Church on January 27, the marriage of Mr. Walter Potter, eldest son of Mr. W. Potter, of Northam, late of Claremont, and Miss Margaret Real, of Carnarvon, Nor'-West, was solemnised by the Rector (Rev. R. H. Moore ). The bride looked most charming in a lovely dress of soft white silk. The trained skirt, made in Empire style, was gathered very full, and fell in soft folds, finished at the foot with hem and two large tucks, the front panel being trimmed with lovely white applique. The bodice was slightly cross-over at the waist in front, with yoke, and long cuffs of narrow French val. lace, the upper parts of the sleeves of narrow frills with small tucks and edged with lace, the whole being prettily trimmed with lace and applique, and looked very dainty, with the usual beautifully worked wreath and veil, and she also carried a most lovely shower bouquet. Mr. Walter Colls, of Carnarvon, gave the bride away, and the Misses Ada and Mary Potter (sisters of the bridegroom) were the bridesmaids, and looked very sweet in pretty soft cream silk dresses of walking length, slightly Empire, gathered skirts with hem and tacks at foot. The bodices were very pretty with tucked net sleeves to the elbow and square yoke, finished with bands of insertion. The bodices were trimmed to form a double yoke, made of beautiful silk insertion and val. lace, finished with narrow folded belts. They also wore very pretty and stylish hats to match, and carried lovely bouquets the flowers the same colours as they had in their hats. Mr. Herbert Potter (brother) acted as best man. The wedding breakfast was partaken of at the residence of the bridegroom's parents, where the usual toasts were honoured. The couple left the same evening for the Yallingup caves, the bride's travelling costume being a navy blue silk voille made walking length, and finished with a padded hem worked with French knots slightly Empire and gathered at waist. The bodice had yoke and sleeves of cream over-all lace and very full bodice with square yoke of cream insertion and navy glace, with narrow folded belt of same. It was a very becoming little frock. Numerous and costly presents were received. The bride's and bridesmaids' costumes were made under the direct supervision of Mrs. E. L. Henley. Mr. and Mrs. Potter on their return took up their residence in Selby Street. [7]
