MR. JOHN ROBERTSON.
An old resident of the Western District, Mr. John Robinson, died at the residence of Mrs. Furney, Brisbane-street, at midday on Tuesday, the cause of death being senile decay. Deceased, who was 70 years of age, was a native of Victoria. He married at Bathurst 45 years ago, and after residing there for some time went up to Bourke, where he remained for a few years. During the past six years he had resided in Dubbo, and had been an invalid. Mr. John Robertson, of Brisbane-street, is the eldest son of the deceased. The funeral took place Wednesday afternoon, the remains being interred in the Church of England portion of the local cemetery, the Rev. Lea officiating at the graveside. The casket was of polished cedar, with siver mountings. Messrs. Everett and Co. carried out the funeral arrangements.

A WESTERN PIONEER GONE.
A pioneer of the west in the person of Mr John Robinson, of Dubbo, has away at the age of 70 years. Mr Robinson was born at the Ovens Diggings in 1841. Coming to New South Wales as a young man, he followed the occupation of a carrier, and for years he and his brother were the best known carriers between Bathurst and Sydney.
