Her father Niels Pedersen (Buch), from Bredstenlund, baptized 1739, buried Bredsten 1784. He married Sidsel Marie Madsdatter, presumably in Skibet 1760-64. No marriage records left. She was baptized in 1738, died in Kjeldkaerhus and buried in 1795. Niels Pedersen (Buch's) father Peder Hansen (Buch), born ? Died before 1762. Lived in the parish of Bredsten. He married Maren Nielsdatter in Bredsten in 1729. (No other details available.) Peder Hansen (Buch's) father was Hans...?... Farmer in Soskov, parish of Bredsten, died 1709-25. He married Else Christensdatter, born about 1682, died Soskov, buried in Bredsten in 1735 aged 53 years. She married for the second time, Thomas Buch, who survived her. The children added the name of their step-father (Buch) to their own name of Hansen thus becoming Hansen (Buch) etc.

    The Christie family arrived in Hobart Town, Tasmania 25.3.1855 on the ship "Ocean Chief." The parents were Robert Christie and Euphemia Christie, nee Moodie, both 48 years of age, and the children were William 22, Mary 18, Catharine 16, James 12, and John 10. All were natives of Perthshire, Scotland, and were of the Free Church of Scotland. Euphemia Christie came from Dundee, Scotland. Mary Hunter and her husband Joachim Friedrich left Tasmania for Victoria on the ship, the "City of Hobart" in June 1855 and settled in Chiltern where they died in 1906 and 1905 respectively.
