      The death occurred suddenly at his residence, Pacific Drive, Port Macquarie, recently of ex-Sergt. Spencer Walklate. He was well known on the Richmond River and was stationed at Warden for 12 years. He was 67 years old and had been in retirement for seven years. He is survived by his widow, one son, Garfield, and one daughter, Mavis. Two sons were killed in the last war.
