    • The death took place at Rosewood on Sunday last of Mr. William Arndt, one of the oldest residents of the Rosewood district (writes our correspondent). The late Mr. Arndt, who was a native of Germany, was 92 years of age, 56 of which he spent at Tallegalla, where he carried on farming. About two and a half years ago, he went to Nambour to reside with his daughter, Mrs. Neuendorf, and, when the latter disposed of the residence at Nambour, he returned to Rosewood a few weeks ago. The late Mr. Arndt enjoyed good health until a few days before his death, which took place at the residence of Mr. J. Dale, Rosewood, where he had been staying. His wife died some years ago, and he is survived by a family of two daughters - Mesdames Neuendorff and Richters (Nambour), and five sons, Messrs. John Arndt (Tallegalla), Frederick (Nambour), Charles (Ipswich), Herman (Tallegalla), and William (Mt. Sylvia), also a number of grandchildren. The funeral took place to the Tallegalla cemetery yesterday. The body was buried beside the remains of the late Mr. Arndt's mother, who was buried in the cemetery 46 years ago. Pastor A. Temme officiated at the graveside.

[Pastor H. E. Temme, of Marburg, writes: "Wednesday's 'Queensland Times' contains a report of the funeral of the late Mr. W. Arndt, Rosewood, wherein it is stated that Pastor A. Temme officiated at the grave-side.' Unless there is another 'Pastor Temme,' a mistake has been made, as I was not in any way connected with the funeral."
