      MRS. A. PIEPER
      VERNOR. May 6.-Well known in the Vernor district, Mrs. Augusta Pieper died recently in the Ipswich General Hospital. Born at Mt. Tarampa on April 2, 1883, she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. W. Schroeder.
      In 1903, she was married to Mr. Adolph Pieper. Afterwards the couple took up residence on the old homestead of the Pieper family. They continued farming pursuits until the time of her illness.
      The late Mrs Pieper was a staunch member of the Church of Christ, Fernvale, for nearly 20 years.
      The funeral took place to the Vernor Cemetery. Many friends and relatives motored long distances to pay their last respects. Pastor Larsen conducted the services at the church and the graveside.
      The late Mrs. Pieper is survived by her husband, one son, Mr C. Pieper (Vernor), a daughter, Mrs. A. F. Bischoff (Laravale), six grandchildren, one great-grandchild. There also is one brother Mr. W. Schroeder (Lowood), and five sisters, Mesdames F. Kuhn, F. Jackwitz, H. Jackwitz, and W. Litzow. The late Mrs. Pieper was predeceased by one sister, Mrs. F. Litzow (Ipswich) and one daughter.
