    • PASSING OF OLD COLONIST.
      On Monday morning, 5th inst., there passed away at the residence of her son, Mr. Albert Mocker, at Fairney View, Emilie Albertina Auguste Mocker, nee Knester [Kuester], relict of the late Carl Friederich August Mocker. Whilst enjoying good health, and occupied in light household duties, the deceased, a few weeks ago suddenly sustained a stroke of paralysis, and from then onward sank away. She lived to the fine age of 81 years, 5 months, and 11 days, having been born in Germany on the 23rd June, 1840. She was a colonist of over 50 years, and had lived over 40 years in the home in which she died. Her remains were interred in the Fairney View cemetery on the 6th inst., the cortege being a large one. The Rev. Theo. Lutze, of Marburg, officiated at the house and at the graveside. The deceased leaves three sons and seven daughters, 62 grandchildren, and 26 great grandchildren to mourn their loss. The sons are: Messrs. A. and W. Mocker (Fairney View), and H. Mocker (Roadvale). The daughters are: Mesdames G. Breitkreuz (Marburg), J. Poole (Fernvale), A. Muckert (Mountain Home), Alex. Hay (Wivenhoe), J. Butler (Boonah), A. Albrecht (Ormiston), and F. Cawthray (Moombra).
