    • OBITUARY
Quite a gloom was cast over the district last Tuesday evening (the 25th ultimo), when the death occurred of Mrs. Bulow, of Fernvale (writes our Minden correspondent). The deceased lady was 84 years of age, her husband having predeceased her some 21 years ago. For some time past the old lady had been in indifferent health but at the time of her death she was spending a holiday with her daughter (Mrs. A. H. Sakrewski, of Minden): and, although Dr. Sirvir was summoned on her becoming ill, all efforts to restore health were of no avail. Mr. and Mrs. Bulow were born at Fallon, Pomern, Germany. In 1873 they emigrated to Queensland, and took up land at Fernvale, where deceased resided ever since. The remains were interred in the Minden Lutheran Church cemetery. Pastor Frank performing the burial service in a very impressive manner. The deceased leaves a family of five to mourn their loss - Thodore Bulow, Fernvale; Hermann Bulow, Wondai; Wilhelm Bulow, Ipswich: Mrs. A. H. Sakrzewski, Minden; and Mrs. S. North, Wivenhoe - for all of whom much sympathy is expressed in their sad bereavement.
