      FUNERAL OF THE LATE MR. H.O. BECHT.

      The funeral of the late Mr. H. O. Becht, which took place from his late residence, Walworth street, yesterday morning, was well attended by Tinana friends and relatives. Numerous floral wreaths and cards of condolence were received by the bereaved family. The pall bearers were Messrs. J. Becht (brother of deceased), H. Becht (son), W. Fifoot (son-in-law), H. Rackemann (son-in-law). The Rev. Theo. Frank read service at the residence and also officiated at the graveside.

    • There passed away at his residence, Walworth street, Tinana, late on Friday night, Mr. H. O. Becht, in his 70th year, after a lingering illness. The deceased was a native of Frankfurt (Germany), and came out to Brisbane in the sailing ship, "Susanne Godefroy" in 1864. In the early days he was employed at the old Mungar sawmill, and subsequently with his wife and family took up his residence at Tinana, where he had resided for the last forty years. He is survived by a bereaved wife and a family of two daughters and one son to mourn his loss. The family comprises Mrs. H. Rackemann (Tingoora), Mrs. J. Horrobin (Tingoora), and Mr. Herbert Henry Becht, who resides at home. The funeral moves at 10.45 this morning from deceased's late residence, Tinana, for the Maryborough cemetery.
