- Death date on death certificate is 26 Sep and burial date is the same. The obituary gives death date of 24 Sep and burial date 26 Sep (Sunday morning), which is more like likely to be correct as it states the relative had to be wired and would have needed time to travel.

DEATH OF MRS. REIMER WENCK.
A correspondent writes :-- I am sorry to report the death of Mrs. Reimer Wenck, which took place at her residence at Minden, on the 24th of September, at the age of sixty-one years after an illness of two weeks' duration. The deceased had been ailing for a considerable time from asthma, and on hearing the sad news of the death of her youngest son, which occurred five weeks ago at Croydon, she became much worse. On the 18th. instant, Dr. McDonald was wired for, and on arrival did all that was possible, but she gradually sank and expired on the above named-date. All the near relatives were wired for, and the funeral took place on Sunday morning at 10 o'clock. All the family were present with the exception of one son, who is teaching at the Durham. Deceased was buried in the family's burying ground on a portion of Mr. R. Wenck's farm, the burial service being conducted by Mr. E. Michel, of Lowood. She leaves a grown-up family of nine to mourn their loss. I hear that it is the intention of the relatives to have the remains of Mr. Gustav Wenck as well as of Mrs. Carl Wenck interred in the family burying ground. [As far as family knows, neither Emma Wenck nor Gustave Wenck were re-interred in the family burying ground.]

Notes |
- Trinke was very quiet - if people other than family visited she would retire to her room to read.
(Notes from trip of Myrtle Colston (née Wenck) to her Aunty Martha Neuendorff (née Behm) 13 Oct 1974.)
Family lore is that Trinke was a Dane with a Spanish mother. Her mother was born in Denmark, but may have been of Spanish extraction. Certainly, Trinke and her daughters had a dark complexion.
