      Relatives and friends of Mrs Ida Langbecker (Bagara), Mr and Mrs John Langbecker (Hope Vale Mission Station), Mr and Mrs Edward Langbecker, Mr and Mrs Albert Langbecker (Bundaberg) and families are invited to attend the funeral of her beloved husband, their father, father-in-law and grandfather, Carl Langbecker, to move from St John's Lutheran Church, Georg Street, this Friday afternoon after a service commencing at 3 o'clock for the General Cemetery.

    • In 1921 Carl established a plant nursery, C. Langbecker & Sons, at Langbeckers Road, Bundaberg.

      Previously he conducted a citrus orchard with a Mr Benham at Byrnestown for 5 years and with a partner H A Petersen at Kuraby for four years.

      He retired from the family business in the 1940s and for a time it was run by his sons Edward and Albert. The business was later sold to a Bundaberg consortium and when that eventually ceased trading a local florist by the name of Dave Moller acquired the name Langbecker Nurseries and set up business on the Bruce Highway, Gin Gin.
