    • KREBS-TETHER WEDDING AT MAROOCHYDORE

In St. Peter's Church of England, Maroochydore, the marriage took place of Mr. Harry Krebs, eldest son of Mrs. M. Krebs, Palmwoods, and the late Mr. F. Krebs, to Mary Lavinia Tether, third daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. Tether, Maroochydore. The Rev. Vincent Cavey officiated.

The bride, who wore a frock of brocaded satin and cut tulle veil, was given away by her father. She also wore a gold brooch which was worn by her mother on her wedding day. Miss Marie Krebs (sister of the bridegroom) and Miss Jean Kuskopf, of Mundubbera, each wearing blue georgette, were bridesmaids.

The bridegroom was attended by his brothers, Lieut Alwyn Krebs (A.I.F.) and Kenwyn Krebs (R.A.N.) as best man and groomsman respectively.

The bridegroom's gift to the bride was a gold pendant.

Mr. and Mrs. Tether received about 50 guests at the memorial hall. The bride's mother was gowned in mastic matalasse with brown accessories. The bridegroom's mother wore floral silk with black accessories. A three-tier wedding cake, the gift of the bridegroom's mother, was the centre of decoration of the main table.

The bride's frock was made by her sister, Mrs. J. Kuskopf (Mundubbera). [4]
