    • The family left Plymouth, England 7 Nov 1883 on board the "Goalpara" which arrived in Cooktown, Queensland, Australia 1 Jan 1884. Some passengers disembarked there and at Townsville, Bowen, Mackay, Rockhampton and Moreton Bay where the Stegemann family disembarked. On 8 January the passengers were put into quarantine on Peel Island. The Stegemanns were listed as free nominated and were: Wilhelm 33, Fredericke 34, Emilie 8, Albert 7, Anna 5.

    • MRS. A. L. F. ZISCHKE
      The death occurred in the Laidley Hospital recently of Mrs. Anna Louisa Friedericke Zischke, at the age of 68 years. She came to Australia with her parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Stegemann in the year 1883 and attended school at Minden. The late Mrs. Zischke was twice married. On April 28, 1898, she married Mr. Herman Hubner, and came to Laidley to live. Her first husband died on June 8, 1911: and on October 10, 1919, she was married to Mr. Heinrich W. Zischke and, with the exception of a few years at Glenore Grove, she lived in Laidley for the remainder of her life. All her life she was an ardent member of the Apostolic Church, and at all times was ready and willing to help in various Church activities. In her younger life she was a member of the Laidley North School Committee and a member of the Laidley Hospital Committee. Of a happy disposition she made a wide circle of friends. She is survived by her husband, two children of the first marriage (Mr. Albert Hubner and Mrs. Robert Mende, Forest Hill), and one son (Mr. Henry Zischke) of the second marriage. Rev. H. Niemeyer conducted the funeral services at the Apostolic Church, and at the Hatton Vale Cemetery.
