Some passengers disembarked there and at Townsville, Bowen, Mackay, Rockhampton and Moreton Bay where the Albrecht family disembarked. On 8 January the passengers were put into quarantine on Peel Island.

      MR. O. W. ALBRECHT
      MARBURG, July 27.-Mr. Otto William Albrecht, of Marburg, passed peacefully away recently after a brief illness. He was born at Brandberg, Germany, in 1877, and came to Queensland with his parents, brothers, and sisters in the sailing ship Gold Perron [Goalpara]. After living at Minden for two years, the family purchased a dairying property at Marburg, and deceased lived there until the time of his death. The late Mr. Albrecht had never married, and for the past 38 years had been cared for by his niece, Miss Maggie Schloss, who survives him. He also leaves two sisters, Mrs. Lee (Glenore Grove) and Mrs. A. Olgler (Laidley). Pastor Schmidt, of Hatton Vale, conducted the funeral service.

      NOTICE Is hereby given that al Creditors and other persons having claims against the Estate of any of the undermentioned deceased persons, are hereby required to send their claims to the Public Curator, Brisbane, on or before the sixth day of October, 1953, and that after the expiration of this date the Public Curator will proceed to distribute the assets of the said deceased amongst the parties entitled thereto, having regard only to the claims of which he shall then have had notice.       Birthday Party.-On Wednesday night a surprise party, organised by Miss Maggie Schloss and Mr. and Mrs. Alf. Strasburg, was tendered to Mr. O. Albrecht, in honour of his birthday, at his residence. A large number attended, and cards and games were enjoyed. Supper was served. The beautiful birthday cake was made by Miss Maggie Schloss. Mr. W. Bachmann, who occupied the chair, proposed the health of Mr. O. Albrecht, and on behalf of the company presented him with a beautiful shaving outfit. Mr. O. Albrecht suitably responded. Mr. L. H. Bachmann proposed "The Organisers." which was responded to by Mr. Alf. Strasburg.
