Our Roadvale Letter. (From Our Own Correspondent.)

      ORANGE BLOSSOMS.
A quiet and very pretty wedding took place on Wednesday morning, the 27th instant, at the residence of Mrs. J. Campbell, a well-known and highly-respected resident of Milbong. The contracting parties were Mr. Charles Wenzel, eldest son of Mr. F. Wenzel, of Roadvale, and Janet, the second daughter of the late Mr. J. Campbell. The Rev. J. T. Williams, of Flinders, performed the ceremony. The bride wore a very becoming costume of rich cream voile, relieved with cream silk ribbon. The bodice, which was made with ruckled yoke, was beautifully tucked, and finished off with a berthe of rich silk lace. The skirt was also tucked and most tastefully frilled. A wreath of orange blossoms was also worn with the above-described beautiful costume. The bride was attended by Miss Emma Wenzel, sister of the bridegroom. She wore a handsome gown of cream voile, the bodice being prettily yoked and tucked, and the skirt nicely frilled. The attire was neatly finished off with a berthe of rich lace, and relieved with tiny silk ribbon. Mr. Edward Wenzel acted as best man. The room in which the ceremony took place was filled with the invited guests and the friends of both families. After the usual congratulations the guests sat down to an excellent wedding breakfast. The table at which the bridal party were seated was adorned by a beautiful wedding-cake, artistically decorated with silver leaves, acorns, doves, forget-me-nots, &c. This was the work of Mr. F. W. Whitehouse, of your city. After justice had been done to the repast Mr. Robert Gordon proposed the health of the bride and bridegroom in a few well-chosen remarks, and the bridegroom responded in a neat speech. Mr. H. Clark proposed "The Bridesmaids," and Mr. James Hansen "The Parents of the Bride and Bridegroom." The Rev. J. T. Williams spoke in his usual bright and entertaining manner, his remarks being enriched with anecdote both grave and gay. Early in the afternoon the happy couple were driven away, amidst showers of rice and old slippers, to catch the down train for Ipswich, their destination being Southport, where they will spend their honeymoon. The bride's travelling dress was a most handsome one of pale-green material, prettily trimmed with green silk ribbon and rich lace, with hat to match. At 4 o'clock afternoon tea was served, when the company sat down before tables loaded with tempting delicacies. The bride's wedding and travelling dresses were made by Mrs. H. Gray, of Roadvale, and they reflect the highest credit on the maker, as did also the dress worn by the bridesmaid, the work of Miss M'Clelland, of Ipswich. The presents were as follows: --Bridegroom's gift to the bride, handsome gold brooch; bridegroom's gift to the bridesmaid, gold brooch; the bride's gift to the bridegroom, pair sleeve-links; Mr. and Mrs. F. Wenzel, cheque; Mr. A. Biegel, cheque; Mr. and Mrs. Cuthbertson, quilt; Mrs. Kruger, pillow shams, night-dress satchet, glass basket, and jam-dish; Rev. J. T. and Mrs. Williams, silver-mounted biscuit-barrel; Mrs. R. Gordon, half-a-dozen towels; Mrs. Beckworth, glass jug, glasses, and cake-dish; Mrs. Bader, fruit-dish and butter-basin; Miss R. Gordon, glass jug; Mr. W. Campbell, cheque; Mr. Edward Wenzel, cheque; Mr. Ernest Wenzel, cheque; Mrs. Shard, clock; Mrs. G. Davis, pair pictures; Mr. and Mrs. H. Clark, silver-mounted jam-dish.
