The wedding was celebrated in St. Christopher's Church of England, Jambin, on November 18, of Beryl, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs George Emmert, and Herbert, second son of Mr and Mrs Jack Wenck, Jambin. Bro. Dunn officiated, and Mrs Hayden presided at the organ.

The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a street-length frock of white embroidered suedelaine with white accessories, and she carried a white prayer-book. She also wore the bridegroom's gift, an opal pendant. She was attended by her sister, Betty, as bridesmaid, who wore a frock of green embroidered linen with white accessories. She carried a white handbag. Mr Theodore Wenck carried out the duties of best man.

The reception was held at the Jambin Hotel, where the dining-room was decorated in the bridesmaid's colours (green and white).

Mr and Mrs H. Wenck left later by car for Yeppoon, where the honeymoon will be spent. The bride travelled in a rust crease-resisting linen frock with white accessories. [5]
