HEMPEL.- On the 7th August, at Heidelberg, Charles Henry Hempel, late of Tallangatta, dearly loved father of Amelia, August, Charlotte, Charles, Sophia, Alice and Bertha, aged 67 years.

HEMPEL.- All Friends of the late Mr. CHARLES HENRY HEMPEL are respectfully invited to follow his remains to the Melbourne Cemetery. The funeral leaves the residence of his daughter, Mrs. Sliedell, 147 Arthurton-road, Northcote, TO-MORROW (Thursday), 10th August, at 12.30 o'clock.

The death is reported of Mr C. H. Hempel, a blacksmith well known 20 years ago at Tungamah, but later a resident of Tallangatta, in the Upper Murray, the sad event taking place in Melbourne, from cancer. Deceased had also carried on business at Alexandra, Dookie and Benalla, and was an uncle of Mr. H. Feldtman, of Devenish, and of two residents of the same name at Major Plains.
