    • Went to England in mid-late 1820s with letter of introduction from his employer, John Petchy, to Mr James Miller of Hammersmith (father of his future wife).

      Returned to Tasmania on the "Persian" with his wife and three children leaving 8 July 1833 and arriving 14 Nov 1833. They were steerage passengers. [3]
