      MRS. LOUISA M. MESSENGER
      The death occurred yesterday of Mrs. Louisa Mary Messenger, of Harvey Siding. The deceased was born at Headington, Oxfordshire, England, in 1866, and came to Australia in the sailing ship, Scottish Hero, in 1886, landing at Maryborough. She was station mistress at Curra for 11 years and at Gootchie for 17 years. Since the retirement of her husband from the Railway Department 11 years ago, the deceased had lived at Haryey Siding. She is survived by her husband, Mr. John Messenger, six daughters-- Mesdames W. Cole. E. H. Sleaford, P. King (Maryborough), D. Damm (Goomboorian), G. Prufert (Laidley), B. Harper (Fraser Island) and two sons -- Messrs. Edgar John, (Maryborough) and William Henry Messenger (Kinbombi). One son and one daughter predeceased her. The funeral is appointed to leave St. Paul's Church of England at the conclusion of a short service this morning at 10.45 o'clock.
