Mr. Christian W. A. Vansleve passed away in the Nambour District Hospital on 30th August last. He was born in Flensberg, Denmark, in October, 1864. Arriving in Australia in 1880, he came to Queensland in 1914. His first home was in New South Wales, including the Tweed River, and in Queensland at Gin Gin, Kin Kin, where he resided for eight years. Coming to Eumundi 22 years ago, the late Mr. Vansleve engaged in farming for many years, but of late had lived in retirement. He was a member of the Ancient Order of Foresters for 32 years. Surviving him are his widow (formerly Miss Searl, of Brandon, New South Wales), two sons, Messrs. R. C. Vansleve (Eumundi) and Percy Vansleve (New Farm, Brisbane), and one daughter, Mrs. J. Bailey (St. Albans, New South Wales).
