    • GREENSBOROUGH Death of Miss Partington
Miss Prudence Partington, who was the eldest of the family of the late Mr. Charles Partington, passed away on Saturday last at the residence of Mr. W. Partington, at the age of 72 years, after being in poor health for the past year. It was two months to the day that her sister Maria died, and the two sisters had lived together all their lives in Greensborough. The deceased lady had led a very active church life, and she was particularly good to the sick, never visiting them without some little dainty or a few flowers, which never failed to cheer. For many years she took a prominent part in the Christian Endeavor, and it owed most of its success to her efforts. There are five brothers of the old family still left - Messrs. Charles, Joseph, Thomas, Benjamin and William. The funeral took place on Monday, and a large number of people paid their last respects to the memory of a sincere Christian woman.
The  Rev. A. Apted, of the Methodist Church, conducted the burial service.
