      WEDDINGS.

      WELLADSEN - MCGUINESS

The Church of England, Chiltern, was the scene of an interesting event on Wednesday last when Mr William Welladsen son of Mr N. Welladsen of Glenbee, North Barnawartha, was married to Miss Molly, only daughter of Mr. Daniel McGuiness of Orange (N.S.W.) The ceremony was performed by the Rev P. H. Peake. The bride was given away by her father and was dressed in a creme serge coat and skirt and wore a black and gold picture hat (made by bride's sister-in law, Mrs A. McGuiness, Sydney) and carried a pale pink variety bag. Miss Trissy McGuiness (niece of bride), who wore creme silk, cap to match, was bridesmaid. Mr L. Welladsen was best man. The bridegroom's gift to the bride was a gold cameo brooch, and to the bridesmaid gold bangle, while the bride's present to the bridegroom was a set of gold sleeve links. The dejeuner was arranged for at Mr H. Smyth's Telegraph hotel where the company, which included Mr and Mrs Colston (Melbourne), Mr Welladsen (Melbourne), Mr and Mrs Hartmann and Mr Hayes of Allan's Flat, did full justice to the host of good things provided, and the usual toasts were honored. The tables, as is customary with Mr Smyth, were laid out in delightful style and abounded with the choicest and daintiest of edibles. Many presents of a costly nature were received by the bride.
