      PAUL PRUFERT, of Tarampa, near Lowood, in the Colony of Queensland, Farmer, was adjudged insolvent on the twelfth day of July, 1893.
      The FIRST MEETING of Creditors will be held at the Principal Registry, Brisbane, on the twenty-seventh day of July, 1893, at 11 o'clock in the forenoon. Until the election of a Trustee, all persons having in their possession any of the effects of the Insolvent must deliver them, and all debts due to the Insolvent must be paid, to Mr. James Boyne Hall, the Official Trustee in the Estate.

    • LAIDLEY.
      The death is announced of Mr. Otto Herman Paul Prufert at the age of 76 years. He was born in Germany, and came to Australia with his parents at the age of 10 years. The family first settled at Lowood. In 1885 the late Mr. Prufert married Miss Mathilda Wenck, of Brisbane, and subsequently they resided in Brisbane, Lowood, Marburg, and Summerholme for 36 years, where they were engaged in farming pursuits. For the seven years prior to his death the late Mr. Prufert lived in retirement in Laidley. He is survived by his widow, two sons -- Messrs. W. and G. Prufert (Summerholme), two daughters -- Mesdames Lynam (Brisbane) and A. Kraut (Laidley), 18 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

      SILVER WEDDING.
      The silver wedding of Mr. and Mrs. P. Prufert, two well-known residents of Summer Hill, was celebrated on Saturday evening, the 23rd April. There were some 40 members of the family and relatives present, besides numerous friends. A most enjoyable time was spent by all, dancing being the principal amusement, whilst card-playing and other games were also indulged in. Tea was served in a large bush-house about 7 p.m., and the eatables were of the choicest description. Mr. W. Relles presided, and in an appropriate speech proposed the health of Mr. and Mrs. Prufert. Mr. E. Wenck, of Prenzlau, acknowledged the compliment on behalf of Mr. and Mrs. Prufert. Mr. X. Oberle and many others present spoke of the esteem in which Mr. and Mrs. Prufert are held by their numerous friends. The following is a list of the presents received:--Mr. and Mrs. E. Wenck silver-mounted butter-dish ; Mr. and Mrs. A. Wenck (Minden), cheque ; Mr. and Mrs. C. Rossow (Calvert), silver-mounted jam-dish on stand ; Misses A. and S. Mr. Prufert's present to his wife was a beautiful hanging-lamp, while Mrs. Prufert presented her partner with a comfortable arm-chair. Mrs. Prufert was attired in a costume of black striped Khantona cloth, trimmed with black braid and buttons, the bodice relieved with yoke of cream silk lace. The dress was made at the establishment of Miss L. E. Storr, of Laidley.
