      Death of Miss Partington
Death has removed an old and highly esteemed resident in Miss Maria   Partington, which occurred last week after three months' illness. The deceased was the daughter of the late Charles Partington, one of the pioneers of Greensborough. Her kindly disposition was known to everyone who knew the family, while her 40 years' service as a teacher in the Methodist Sunday school, her church work, and her activities on behalf of the Foreign Missions indicate her Christian character. She had been living with her sister (Miss Prudence Partington). There are five brothers - Messrs. Chas., Joseph and William Partington, residing in Greensborough, and Messrs. Benjamin and     Thomas, living near the city. The remains were interred in the Greensborough cemetery, the Rev. Scholes performing the last sad rites. The Rev. Apted conducted a memorial service in the Methodist Church last Sunday, and asked the lady members to continue the church decorations in memory of Miss Partington, as every Sunday for years she had always kept the church supplied with lovely flowers.
