WEDDING BELLS.
GOODING-ATKINS. A quiet wedding took place at Balfour-street Wesleyan Church on Monday last, the contracting parties being Mr. James Gooding and Miss Elsie Atkins. The officiating clergyman was the Rev. J. Harcourt. B.A. The bride wore a pretty fawn Eton costume, with Ivory silk facings, and white toque, finished with black velvet and red berries. She was given away by her brother, Mr. Ernest Atkins, and she carried an exquisite shower bouquet, the gift of the bridegroom. The bridesmaids were Miss Hilda Atkins sister of the bride, and Miss S. Hodkinson, of Evandale. The bridegroom was supported by his brother, Mr. B. Gooding, and Mr. Fred. Richardson, of Hobart. After the ceremony the bridal party drove to Lawrence-street, where they were entertained by the bride's mother. Mr. and Mrs. Gooding left during the afternoon for the Coast. The presents received were both costly and numerous. [1]
